The Pujiu Temple,
located in Yongji County, is well known because of a major Chinese novel, "the West
Chamber", which used the temple as the scene for a love story. The West Chamber no
longer exist due to a powerful earthquake and a later fire. New buildings has been erected
for tourist to revive the old story of romance. The only building remaining form ancient
time is a square brick pagoda named Yingying, after the heroine of the novel.
