Xinghua Village---the Capitol of Liquor
The famous poem of the Tang Dynasty goes like "Where is the Liquor Shop? The buffalo
boy pointed at the Zinghus Village." The poet referred to the Xinghua Village here.
As early as the Southern and Northern Dynasties the village had been well known for its
flourishing liquor distilling industry. Distillery was scattered everywhere during the
Tang Dynasty. The distinguished Fenjiu liquor distillery is located at the well known
Liquor Spring well. The Fenjiu Liquor, which won the gold medal for its excellent quality
at the Panama International Trade Fair, has been one of the eight distinguished liquors of
China. Please don't hesitate to the Xinghua Village tasting the typical Fenjiu Liquor of
Shanxi.
